Kajaki returns to the big screen for Armed Forces Day

War thriller Kajaki will be screened at Cineworld in Aldershot and Odeon in Guildford as part of the many activities taking place for Armed Forces Day and Armed Forces Week.

Directed by Paul Katis and written by Tom Williams, the BAFTA-nominated film is based on a true story and recounts an inspiring but shocking episode in recent British war history.

The first screening will take place at Cineworld, Aldershot, on Monday June 22 at 6.30pm, with all proceeds going to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.

The second screening sees Kajaki heading to Guildford Odeon with a screening on Thursday June 25 at 7.30pm, with all proceeds going to The Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers, Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion and Walking with the Wounded.

Mr Katis said: “We are delighted to be supporting Armed Forces Week to honor those who have served and continue to serve.

“Being able to generate funds for military charities while bringing this true, inspirational story to as broad an audience as possible was one of the reasons we embarked on this project in the first place. We hope all the events are a success.”

On Saturday June 27, the Kajaki team will have a stand in Stoke Park, Guildford, for the national Armed Forces Day event, where the public will have the opportunity to buy DVDs and meet those involved in the film, including the director.
